I AM HERE!

I am here!!

 After long weeks of praying, raising support, and trying to figure finish school strong I finally made it to Ocean City MD for my summer project! I am currently sitting on our porch on fifth street with a few of my friends. God has already taught me and revealed so much to me this past week and a half. I started my trip by trying to find a job. This was really hard. I spent the first day walking up and down streets  applying everywhere with the same response, "We aren't hiring now, but come back in two weeks." It was very discouraging, but the Lord used my sister to show me the verse, 

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, and trust, and He will act" Ps 37:4.

 After a second day of searching I finally was basically handed a job as a lifeguard at a water park. God was at work through this too. I started my first day of training in icy cold water with a few other girls from project and about 25 other students from Ireland who are here for the summer. Irish accents are my favorite. God has been softening my heart for the Irish girls and I have really been able to connect with a lot of them. At one of our weekly meetings we were asked to write down a few names of people who we wanted to pray for everyday, I wrote down my Irish friend Louise. The next day I found out she was on my lifeguard team and I will be working with her a lot. God is so clear with me sometimes and I love it! I would love prayer for my job and for Louise and the other people I am working with!

               

On project we all were split into different ministry teams. I joined the International ministry team with four other students. I knew I would be working with a lot of students from Ireland and Russia and thought this would be a good idea. The other morning we went to a breakfast that a local church provides for international students. I was able to meet five more Russian girls who also work at the water park (at this point its pretty obvious God wanted me to work at the water park!).  I am slowly learning my way around the russian language... (kinda).


I am going to try to post as much as possible! I have a pretty crazy schedule with work and then bible studies, prayer nights, worship night, etc, but God will (and has) provided so much strength!
